It’s that time of year again. The holidays are upon us, December is flying by, it’s getting colder (in theory- Nashville did not so much get the memo on that one), and the music industry is mostly on an extended vacation. Record releases have basically come to a halt, tours are winding down, awards season is preparing to gear up, and basically every single magazine and website that writes about music is releasing a year-end list in some form or another. We at No Country are preparing our own year-end lists for release very soon, but in the time being I wanted to put together a roundup of the most interesting lists from other magazines and sites to see how they compare. A list of lists if you will. I’ll be adding to it as more year-end lists are published, so be sure to check back (and don’t hesitate to let us know about anything we missed in the comments)! I’m adding the top 5 picks from each list- hit the links for the full rundown.

One response to “Year-End Rundown | The List of Lists”
[…] Everyone else is doing it, so I guess that means that we need to do it too. Yes, mom, we would jump off a bridge with everyone else if they were doing it.. because, that’s how we roll. So, we’ve broken down our lists into our favorite “national releases of 2012″ and our “Nashville releases of 2012″ as a No Country team. We decided to throw our best shows of 2012 into individual lists since we usually try to cover as many different events as possible. To let you have the full opportunity to absorb our gems, we are going to release the lists in separate posts each day this week. We’re getting you started with our “Top National Releases of 2012″ below with full album spotify players. […]
