[TICKET GIVEAWAY] Colony House w/ mercury | March 28 @ The Pinnacle

Hailing from nearby Franklin, and formed more than 15 years ago, while still in high school (though their name and familiar sound wouldn’t be cemented until 2013), Colony House have become one of Nashville’s preeminent indie rock acts in just over a decade and five fantastic LPs, leading to worldwide acclaim, increasingly high-profile tours, and viral success. The group (brothers Caleb and Will Chapman on vocals and drums, along with guitarist Scott Mills and bassist Parke Cottrell) found immediate acclaim with debut album When I Was Younger, in 2014, propelled by buzzy early single “Silhouttes,” and inked a major label deal ahead of surf rock-tinged and sonically adventurous sophomore effort Only the Lonely, in 2017, spawning perhaps the band’s best-known track to date, “”You Know It.” Bold and cinematic third album Leave What’s Lost Behind arrived, unfortunately, in early 2020, and touring plans were halted by the pandemic, but by 2023 the band had regrouped with a fourth album- perhaps their cheeriest and most frenetic- The Cannonballers, providing yet another evolution of their anthemic, catchy, genre-bending, and retro inspired indie sound.

For their latest and fifth album, 77, Colony House opted to release in two parts, with the first arriving last fall, and the second just last month. A self-described “retro-futurist meditation on eternity, nostalgia, and the invisible threads that hold us together,” the record feels like both a callback to the best of the band’s earlier sonic ethos, as well as something new entirely, landing as their more mediative, soul-searching, ambitious, and mature work yet. In celebration, the rockers will cap off their current run of tour dates with their biggest hometown headliner ever, March 28 at The Pinnacle with fellow local indie fave mercury. Tickets are still available right here while they last, but we’re thrilled to announce that we’re also giving away a pair of tickets to one lucky fan! Preview the lineup and enter below.
