Cold War Kids – Bonnaroo Review
In the middle of the blazing sun on Sunday (June 12), the Cold War Kids put on quite a performance in This Tent at Bonnaroo 2011. I had some videos from the show, but my video prowess is not up to the levels of others. See some pretty good quality videos from the show…

J Roddy Walston & The Business – Bonnaroo 2011
One of the highlights of the weekend was J Roddy Walston & The Business performing at Bonnaroo. Sandwiched between The Black Keys and Eminem’s performances, this little band that could, destroyed the tiny Cafe Where tent. The band was going crazy and the whole place was jumping around waiting for the next beat to…

The White Buffalo – Bonnaroo Review
Quite possibly the most underrated performer at this year’s Bonnaroo was The White Buffalo. Tucked away at the On Tap Lounge mid-afternoon on Sunday (6/12). The White Buffalo had the small sweaty crowd bouncing around with good ole fun drinking songs. I actually had to stop recording during The Bar and The Beer to…

Battles playing Exit/In on 10/24
Does everyone know Battles? They are an experimental, math rock outfit out of New York. They came onto the scene in 2007, and have been steadily blowing people away ever since. They have heavy roots in experimental music with guitarist Ian Williams (formerly of math rock wizards Don Caballero), bassist Dave Konopka (formerly of…

Fences – Bonnaroo Review
In one of the sweetest sets of the day, Seattle band Fences took to the Sonic stage on Sunday (6/12) at 1:15 pm. Upon first look at these guys, you would have trouble expecting the sweet (Death Cab meets Elliot Smith) sound that you would be hearing. It was one of my highlights of…
