Bonnaroo Artist | Holly Humberstone
Bonnaroo History | Newbie
Stage & Time | Saturday | Which Stage | 4:00-5:00pm
Like we’ve been doing for many years now, we’re making it our mission to help you get acquainted with many of our favorite acts from Bonnaroo‘s 2026 lineup. A pivotal year for the fest, this summer’s ‘Roo will see some significant changes after last year’s unfortunate rainout, including infrastructure improvements, a scaled-back capacity, and a smaller lineup (notably, cutting down Thursday’s programming the most). We’ll have to wait until we’re on the farm to feel the full extent of the changes and tweaks, but we’re cautiously optimistic that it will benefit the fest in the long-term, especially in helping make the site more resistant to weather. This will be Bonnaroo’s 23rd installment and 25th anniversary, and even with a more compact lineup, it packs a pretty stellar, eclectic slate of artists, per usual. Back once again in its dependable June 11-14 timeframe, we’re counting down the days until another great weekend on the farm.
As we dig through the entire schedule, we’ll highlight a spread of performers spanning across genres and stages, big and small, new and old, to bring you some of the most interesting, lesser-known, and most highly-recommended among this year’s crop of artists. And as our time at ‘Roo approaches, we’ll also be bringing you some special features and full list-style daily lineup guides, to help you plan your weekend ahead of the fest. While these previews won’t span every artist, and might omit some more obvious must-see acts, we hope they’ll serve as a way to help you navigate Bonnaroo’s gargantuan lineup, and to make the most of your busy weekend at the fest! Be sure to grab your tickets (available in weekend or single-day, with various upgrade levels and add-ons) and camping or parking pass (also available with a lot of flexible options and levels), and read on for our Bonnaroo Artist Spotlight!
LEARN
Hailing from rural Lincolnshire, England, breakout pop singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone found a love for music at a young age, encouraged by her parents to foster her creativity, enrolling in a performing arts school and playing violin with the Lincolnshire Youth Symphony Orchestra. Despite there being little in the way of a contemporary music scene around her, Holly forged her own artistic path, and began writing and performing her own songs as a teen, attracting attention from the BBC and leading to some prominent early opportunities, like a 2019 appearance at Glastonbury. Humberstone began formally releasing music at the start of 2020- just as the world was shutting down due to Covid- and made quite a splash that summer with her first EP, Falling Asleep at the Wheel, which landed her major record deals with Interscope and Polydor, ahead of 2021’s buzzy followup, The Walls Are Way Too Thin. The following few years were a whirlwind, with the young singer (who’s just now 26) making appearances on late night shows and at major festivals, touring the world both as a rapidly-rising solo artist and in support of major stars like Olivia Rodrigo and girl in red, and earning widespread acclaim for her earnest, vulnerable writing style and moody, atmospheric, and synth-soaked musical ethos, drawing as much from indie greats like Bon Iver as singer-songwriter peers like Phoebe Bridgers. Holly’s highly-anticipated debut full-length, Paint My Bedroom Black, arrived in 2023 to critical acclaim and viral attention (followed not long after by a third EP, Work in Progress), and further cemented her as one of her generation’s most impressive new talents, giving way to even bigger shows, including a stint on The Eras Tour with Taylor Swift. Recent second LP Cruel World doesn’t just avoid the sophomore slump, but lands as Humberstone’s best, most confident, pop-accessible yet thematically intimate work to date, and is already is a contender for one of 2026’s greatest pop records. In concert, Holly Humberstone is just as compelling, and her debut at Bonnaroo is sure to go down as a major highlight of this year’s fest!
