Boasting a sound that channels era-spanning art rock, hook-laden indie rock, and maximaist and baroque indie pop, breakout London-based group The Last Dinner Party have been a captivating new fixture in the rock scene since first capturing our attention with fantastic debut single “Nothing Matters,” in 2023, followed by acclaimed debut album, Prelude to Ectasy, the following year. Making their live debut in 2021 (though core members had been friends for a few years prior), the band- who hail originally from around the UK and Australia- sprung out of lockdown-era jam sessions, and quickly gained an organic following around London, landing them management and a major record deal. Things have only accelerated since the release of their debut, including major festival and television appearances, esteemed awards nominations, and tours with huge artists like Hozier, drawing widespread acclaim for their immersive, theatrical, visually-stunning live show.
The Last Dinner Party crafted another instant classic with last year’s swifty-released sophomore LP, From the Pyre, and have retained an incredibly busy live schedule in recent years, including upcoming runs with sombr and Olivia Rodrigo. Before that, though, they’re currently on a headlining run of North America, which will bring the buzzworthy band to Nashville for the first time tonight, June 10 at The Pinnacle (they’ll also return this fall in support of sombr at Bridgestone). LA post-punk and alt pop outfit Automatic are set to open, and tickets are still available (and refreshingly reasonably priced) right here while they last!
The Last Dinner Party and Automatic perform tonight, June 10 at The Pinnacle. The show is all ages, begins at 8 p.m. (doors at 7 p.m.), and tickets are available for $32.57-105.94.
