No Country’s Guide to Re:SET Nashville | June 23-25 @ Centennial Park

SUNDAY | June 25

The final Nashville date of Re:SET, and perhaps the most-anticipated of all based on the response the giveaway we ran a few months ago, is headed up by indie supergroup boygenius, a trio of artists who, alone, have made some of the best music of the last decade, and, together, recently released an album of the year contender in their full-length debut, The Record. Made up of Los Angeles indie rock favorite Phoebe Bridgers, Nashville by way of Memphis folky, emo indie artist Julien Baker, and Philly based, Virginia raised indie rocker Lucy Dacus, boygenius began, initially, as kind of an accident, when the trio teamed up to a record a collaborative song ahead of a tour together, and wound up making their eponymous 2018 debut EP. After a period of focus on their respective solo work, boygenius roared back to life with their debut LP this year, and skyrocketed to more critical attention and mainstream fame than ever, including a lauded appearance at Coachella and some surprise performances in support of Taylor Swift, during Bridgers’ opening sets. For their Re:SET date, they’ll be joined by fellow darling of the indie rock scene, Clairo, buzzy r&b breakout Dijon, and DC based, hip hop infused indie rocker Bartees Strange.
